Iseult White is a partner at Catalyst Solutions. In addition to her management responsibilities, she consults directly with clients, primarily in the areas of adoption of object-oriented technology, software architecture, and project management. Her domain expertise is in the area of financial systems and management information systems. In addition, she has worked extensively on software development methodologies. While employed at Rational Software Corporation she worked closely with Grady Booch on evolving the Booch method. She is the author of “Using the Booch Method: A Rational Approach”, Benjamin Cummings, 1994, a practical guide to using and applying the Booch method.
While working at a leading Wall Street firm, she played a key role in defining a new application development method, which incorporates the concepts of use cases, object-oriented analysis, risk analysis, and iterative development. She also supported a number of object-oriented software developments in the areas of funds management, derivatives trading, back office systems, and money transfer.
Previously, Iseult successfully built Rational’s object-oriented training business, raising revenue from $500,000 to over $2 million in one year. She defined syllabus direction and course content, instituted a train-the-trainer program, and consulted with key clients on corporate training strategies. Prior to that Iseult was a key member of Rational’s object-oriented consulting practice. She provided consulting services to a variety of clients in domain areas such as telecommunications, operating system software, and management information systems. She helped a number of clients in the successful adoption and effective utilization of object-oriented technology.
Before joining Rational, Iseult consulted with a variety of world-leading firms. Her contributions included directing enterprise modeling, devising methods for translating entity-relationship models into object models, developing management standards, and creating corporate object-oriented training programs.
With more than 8 years of experience in object technology, Iseult has a proven track record of successfully working with all levels of management and technical personnel from a wide range of organizations. Her clients include leading companies in the MIS, banking, aviation, telecommunications and entertainment industries. She has assisted numerous companies to apply object oriented technology to achieve business objectives. Her principal responsibilities have been in the areas of object-oriented methods and languages, software architecture, and risk and project management.
Iseult holds a bachelor's of arts degree in computer science and a master’s of science degree specializing in object-oriented distributed database systems from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland.
